Dunlop Sport Maxx

This is my main focus for the season, the concept is very simple, multiple vehicle type, multiple model type, limited power performance modifications (engines must remain standard) and multiple classes with success ballast monitoring BTCC. The technical criteria of the vehicle types and running of success ballast closely matches the racing programme needed to progress through to my next goal, the BTCC. However the main reason behind the choice is simply the pure unmitigated support the Championship receives.

There is huge support being given to the Championship, both direct and indirect, Dunlop (as the main sponsor and the main sponsor of BTCC) is investing thousands of pounds in the marketing and promotion of the series. As part of the Great and British series the Sport Maxx gets top billing and premium paddock space at each event. Evo magazine have confirmed at least one entry this season and Performance Tuner magazine will be following the progress of my car throughout the season. Citroen, Peugeot, Renault and Ford all have support and a number of established teams from the Porsche Cup and British GT are all preparing cars.

The series has complete coverage on Motors TV and Sky Sports and with Dunlop’s financial muscle Autosport and Motoring News will continue to give top billing in the National scene. On the Friday before selected events my father will be running a track day, the fact that this will be under his control as opposed to a general test day means I will be able to offer partners high speed rides in the race cars and even arrange for driving experiences and instruction.
